recently been ask to do a portal ...easiest way was with asp .. because database is mssql ... to bad am running a centos web server  Grin how easy is it to run asp on unix server ?... or is it beter to just get down with php, not done any asp script before Wink

I'm don't much about ASP, but maybe this link helps: http://www.mono-project.com/ASP.NET

I have never tried to use MSSQL in php, but it seems to be possible: http://www.php.net/manual/en/book.mssql.php


And if you're building a portal you should consider using a system like Typo3 (http://typo3.org/), Drupal (http://drupal.org/) or eZ (http://ez.no).

thx ....

at my current work ..... i build few websites using joomla ...
am not sure wich is the best cms system .... i tend to think joomla
typo3 personally i will consider it for a magazine or news portal ...
asp there is dotnukeproject .......

am not sure if there is any training available in windhoek
 for any sql ( mysql or mssql )

does any one know maybe ?
