Linux in Namibia on Facebook?

Not sure if there is an existing Linux Users Group or Page (Namibia) on Facebook, I could not find anything, so have gone and created a group and a page called Linux Namibia, simply with the aim of promoting Linux in Namibia (okay, I am still a windows user, but playing around with various distros to see what I like and of course what can run on my old Laptop, besides liking the idea of free, faster software).

If there is an existing Linux user group or page aimed at Namibia on Facebook, please let me know, would rather join that start something new in competition.

Anyhow, all are welcome to join. This group or page could of course also be made the official home of the Informal Linux Group Namibia on Facebook if the group members want. I see Facebook as an ideal way of promoting the concept of Linux and free software in Namibia. I am not sure if it should be a group on Facebook or a page. Comments & Ideas welcome. Maybe a page is a better option, one can add photos, events, discussions etc. Looks neater.

Hi all

As you are aware I recently started a Linux Namibia Page on Facebook, with the aim of promoting Linux & open source software in Namibia.

The page is updated fairly regularly with interesting Linux news from around the world, sourced from the Internet. There 23 fans for the page currently, with the number of fans growing slowly but surely.

I would like to ask you all to please visit the page and also promote it to everyone you think might be interested. Would also like to get some discussion on Linux and other open source software going on the page, or incorporate feeds from the forum here (if someone knows if this can be done?).

Also, would it be possible to have a link back to the Facebook page from the forum? The page has a link to the forum already.

Any other ideas on promoting the page and forum, or rather Linux & other open - source software publicly?
